The Naples office of Fondazione Mediterraneo - 1994

The recovery of part of the former “Grand Hotel de Londres” in Piazza Municipio square to create the office of the Fondazione Mediterraneo with La Maison de la Mèditerranée e La Maison de la Paix is a rare example of balance between interior architecture and institutional representativity. The iron made roof timbers representing the Mediterranean Countries and the objects offered by Nations, Regions, Cities and institutions symbolize the value added of the dialogue and of an architecture which represents itself peace and cooperation between different identities and cultures. The building has 5 floors where we can find conference rooms, newspaper libraries, all the main functions of an important international institution and, last but not least, quite unique communication and cable systems with the various Countries.
