Michele Capasso was born on 14/06/1954 in Torre del Greco (Naples).
After his studies he had different activities such as: photographer (1968 - 1972), gallery owner  (1972 – 1978), painter (1972) and engineer/architect (1978-1994) realising more than 500 projects in the world.
After a very striking visit to Ex-Yugoslavia, he gave up his usual activities and decided to dedicate himself fully to the Ex-Yugoslav population.
Aiming to build dialogue and peace in the Euro-Mediterranean area, he created the Fondazione Mediterraneo in 1991, the Museum of Peace - MAMT and the Maison des Alliances. The institution is functioning as an important Euro Mediterranean network for dialogue between societies and cultures with its headquarters in Naples and different offices in other Euro-Mediterranean countries.
